The Spring Season – The Time Of The Sowing

PASSOVER «PESACH»

Month of Aviv (Nisan) 14th – Full moon phase

PAST EVENTS INDICATING PROPHECY

The month of Nisan (Aviv) signifies the beginning of the year, according to Elohim’s calendar for the nation of Israel

This month (Aviv/Nisan) shall be to you the beginning of months, the first month of the year to you.

Ex. 12:2

The day of the slaying of the Lamb on the eve of exile from Egypt

In the first month (Aviv), on the fourteenth day of the month at dusk (at twilight), is YHWH Passover.

Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: “On the tenth day of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household. And if the household is too small for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next to his house take it according to the number of the persons; according to each man’s need you shall make your count for the lamb. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats. Now you shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month. Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight.”

Lev. 23:5; Ex. 12:3

The anointing of the doorposts with the blood of the Lamb

And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it. Then they shall eat the flesh on that night; roasted in fire, with unleavened bread and with bitter herbs they shall eat it. Do not eat it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roasted in fire – its head with its legs and its entrails. You shall let none of it remain until morning, and what remains of it until morning you shall burn with fire. And thus you shall eat it: with a belt on your waist, your sandals on your feet, and your staff in your hand. So you shall eat it in haste. It is YHWH ‘s Passover.

Ex. 12:7

Striking of the firstborns in Egypt

For I will pass through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am YHWH. Now the blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you are. And when I see the blood, I will pass over you; and the plague shall not be on you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt. So this day shall be to you a memorial; and you shall keep it as a feast to YHWH throughout your generations. You shall keep it as a feast by an everlasting ordinance.

Ex. 12:12

Yearly observance of Pesah in the Temple

Observe the month of Aviv (spring the time of barley harvest) and keep the Passover to YHWH your Elohim, for in the month of Aviv YHWH your Elohim brought you out of Egypt by night. And you shall sacrifice the Passover-offering unto YHWH your Elohim, of the flock and the herd, in the place which YHWH shall choose to cause His name to dwell there. You shall eat no leavened bread with it; seven days you shall eat unleavened bread with it, that is, the bread of affliction (for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), that you may remember the day in which you came out of the land of Egypt all the days of your life. And no leaven shall be seen among you in all your territory for seven days, nor shall any of the meat which you sacrifice the first day at twilight remain overnight until morning. You may not offer the Passover sacrifice within any of your towns which YHWH your Elohim gives you. But at the place which YHWH your Elohim will choose in which to make His Name (and His Presence) dwell, there you shall offer the Passover sacrifice in the evening at sunset, at the season that you came out of Egypt. And you shall roast and eat it in the place which YHWH your Elohim will choose.  And in the morning you shall turn and go to your tents.

Deut. 16:1

FULFILLED PROPHECIES

Prophetic significance of the first coming of the Messiah: The Lamb of  YHWH, that was led to the slaughter as the atonement and reconciliation for the sins of the world

But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned, every one, to his own way; and YHWH has laid on Him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He opened not His mouth; He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, so He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment, and who will declare His generation? For He was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgressions of My people He was stricken.

Yet it was the will of YHWH to bruise Him; to see if his soul would offer itself in restitution (as a guilt offering), that he might see his seed, prolong his days, and that the purpose of YHWH might prosper by his hand.

And I will pour on the house of David and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem the Spirit of grace and supplication; then they will look on Me whom they pierced. Yes, they will mourn for Him as one mourns for his only son, and grieve for Him as one grieves for a firstborn.

My strength is dried up like a potsherd, and My tongue clings to My jaws; You have brought Me to the dust of death. For dogs have surrounded Me; the congregation of the wicked has enclosed Me. They pierced My hands and My feet; I can count all My bones. They look and stare at Me. They divide My garments among them, and for My clothing they cast lots.

Then YHWH said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live.” So Moses made a bronze serpent, and put it on a pole; and so it was, if a serpent had bitten anyone, when he looked at the bronze serpent, he lived.

And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

For our Pesach lamb, the Messiah, has been sacrificed.

You should be aware that the ransom paid to free you from the worthless way of life which your fathers passed on to you did not consist of anything perishable like silver or gold; on the contrary, it was the costly bloody sacrificial death of the Messiah, as of a lamb without defect or spot.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of YHWH, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Messiah Yeshua, whom YHWH set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance YHWH had passed over the sins that were previously committed, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Yeshua.

This is why he had to become like his brothers in every respect – so that he might become a merciful and faithful cohen gadol (High Priest) in the service of YHWH, making a kapparah for the sins of the people (to make atonement and propitiation for the people’s sins).

On this time: day and hour (before midnight of the 14th day of Aviv) Yeshua the Messiah was crucified on a tree

On the first day of the unleavened bread (Preparation day), the disciples came to Yeshua and asked: “Where do you want us to prepare for You to eat the Passover?”And He said: “Go into the city to a certain man, and say to him: The teacher says: “My time is at hand I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.” The disciples did as Yeshua directed: to prepare for Passover (preparation for the evening of the 14th).When evening came (night of the 13th), Yeshua reclined with the twelve disciples. He took a cup of wine and gave thanks (blessed), and gave it to them, saying: “All of you, drink from it. For this is My blood, which ratifies the new covenant, My blood shed on behalf of many, so that they may have their sins forgiven.”After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. Yeshua then said to them: “Tonight you will all lose faith in Me, as the Tanakh/Scripture says: `I will strike the shepherd dead, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you into the Galil.”Yeshua said to him (Kefa/Peter): “Yes! I tell you that tonight before the rooster crows, you will disown Me three times!”Then Yeshua went with His disciples to a place called Gat-Sh’manim/Gethsemane and said to them: “Sit here while I go over there and pray.” While Yeshua was still speaking, Y’hudah/Judas (one of the Twelve) came, and with him a large crowd carrying swords and clubs, from the head/chief priests and elders of the people. Yeshua said to him: “Friend, do what you came to do.” Then they moved forward, laid hold of Yeshua and arrested Him. And those who had laid hold of Yeshua led Him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were assembled. Kefa/Peter followed Him at a distance as far as the courtyard of the high priest. Then he went inside and sat down with the guards to see what the outcome would be. This time he began to invoke a curse on himself as he swore: “I do not know the man!” – and immediately a rooster crowed. Kefa/Peter remembered what Yeshua had said: “Before the rooster crows, you will disown Me three times.” And he went outside and cried bitterly.

Now on the first day of unleavened bread (Preparation day), when they slaughtered the lamb for Pesach/Passover, Yeshua’s disciples asked Him: “Where do you wish us to go prepare the Passover for You to eat?” He sent two of His disciples with these instructions: “Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him and whichever house he enters, tell him that the rabbi/teacher says: ‘Where is the guest room for Me, where I am to eat the Pesach/Passover with My disciples?’ He will show you a large room upstairs, furnished and ready. Make the preparations there.” When evening came (night of the 13th), Yeshua arrived with the Twelve.  As they were reclining and eating, Yeshua said: “Yes! I tell you that one of you is going to betray Me.” While they were eating, Yeshua took a loaf of bread, made the b’rakhah/blessing, broke it, gave it to them and said: “Take it. This is My body.” Also He took a cup of wine and gave thanks, and gave it to them and they all drank.  He said to them: “This is My blood, which ratifies the new covenant, My blood shed on behalf of many people.” “Yes! I tell you, I will not drink this `fruit of the vine’ again until the day I drink new wine in the Kingdom of YHWH.”After singing a hymn they went out to the Mount of Olives.  Yeshua said to them: “You will all lose faith in Me, for the Tanakh/Scripture says: `I will strike the shepherd dead, and the  sheep will be scattered.’  But after I have been raised, I will go ahead of you into the Galil/Galilee.” Yeshua replied: “Yes! I tell you that this very night, before the rooster crows twice, you will disown Me three times!” They went to a place called Gat Sh’manim/Gethsemane and Yeshua said to His disciples: “Sit here while I pray.” “Get up! Let’s go! Here comes My betrayer!”  While Yeshua was still speaking, Y’hudah/Judas came, and with him a crowd carrying swords and clubs came from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. As he (Y’hudah/Judas) arrived, he went right up to Yeshua, said: “Rabbi!” and kissed Him.  Then they laid hold of Yeshua and arrested Him. They led Yeshua to the cohen hagadol/high priest and with him were assembled all the chief priests, the elders, and the scribes. Kefa/Peter followed Him at a distance right into the courtyard of the high priest, where he sat down with the guards and warmed himself by the fire. And immediately the rooster crowed a second time. Then Kefa/Peter remembered what Yeshua had said to him: “Before the rooster crows twice, you will disown Me three times.” And throwing himself down, he burst into tears.

Then came the day of unleavened bread (Preparation day), on which the Passover lamb had to be killed. Yeshua sent Kefa/Peter and Yochanan/John, instructing them: “Go and prepare for us the Passover, that we may eat it” (to prepare the place for Passover). He told them: “As you’re going into the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house he enters, and say to its owner: `The Rabbi says to you: “Where is the guest room, where I am to eat the Passover with My disciples?” And he will show you a large room upstairs, furnished with carpets and with couches properly spread. There make preparations” (for the 14th night). They went and found things just as Yeshua had told them they would be to prepare ready the Passover (preparation for the evening 14th). When the time came (“Last Supper” – dinner the day before Pesach) Yeshua and the emissaries reclined at the table, and He said to them: “With fervent desire I have desired to eat this Pesach/Passover with you before I supper! For I tell you, it is certain that I will no longer eat of it until it is fulfilled (it is given its full meaning) in the Kingdom of  YHWH.” Then, taking a cup of wine, He made the b’rakhah/blessing and said: “Take this and share it among yourselves. For I tell you that from now on, I will not drink the `fruit of the vine’ until the Kingdom of YHWH comes.” Also, taking bread, He gave thanks, broke it, gave it to them and said: “This is My body, which is being given for you; do this in memory of Me.” He did the same with the cup after the meal, saying: “This cup is the new covenant, ratified by My blood, which is being poured out for you.”Yeshua replied: “I tell you, Kefa/Peter, the rooster will not crow today until you have denied three times that you know Me.” On leaving, Yeshua went as usual to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples followed Him.  When He arrived, He said to them: “Pray that you won’t be put to the test.”And in great anguish He prayed more intensely, so that His sweat became like drops of blood falling to the ground. While He was still speaking, a crowd of people arrived, with the man called Y’hudah/Judas (one of the Twelve) leading them. He came up to Yeshua to kiss Him, but Yeshua said to him: “Y’hudah/Judas, are you betraying the Son of Man with a kiss?” Having seized Him, they led Him away and brought Him into the house of the cohen hagadol/High Priest. Kefa/Peter followed at a distance. But Kefa/Peter said: “Man, I don’t know what you’re talking about!” And instantly, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed. Yeshua turned and looked straight at Kefa/Peter and Kefa/Peter remembered what Yeshua had said: “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny Me three times.” And he went outside and cried bitterly.

It was just before the Pesach/Passover and Yeshua knew that the time had come for Him to pass from this world to the Father. They were at supper (“Last Supper” – dinner the day before Pesach), and the adversary/satan had already put the desire to betray Him into the heart of Y’hudah Ben-Shim`on from K’riot/Judas. Yeshua was aware that the Father had put everything in His power, and that He had come from  YHWH and was returning to YHWH. So He rose from the table, removed His outer garments and wrapped a towel around His waist. Then He poured some water into a basin and began to wash the feet of the disciples and wipe them off with the towel wrapped around Him. Now after the piece of bread, adversary/satan entered him. Then Yeshua said to him: “What you do, do quickly.” But no one at the table understood why He had said this to him.  For some thought that, since Judas had the money box, Yeshua was telling him: “Buy what we need for the Festival (for the Feast of Unleavened Bread)”, or that he should give something to the poor. As soon as he had taken the piece of bread, Y’hudah/Judas went out, and it was night. This is happening so that the world may know that I love the Father, and that I do as the Father has commanded Me. “Get up! Let’s get going!” After Yeshua had said all this, He went out with His disciples across the stream that flows in winter through the Vadi Kidron, to a spot where there was a grove of trees; and He and His disciples went into it. So Judas, obtaining and taking charge of the band of soldiers and some guards (attendants) of the high priests and pharisees, came there with lanterns and torches and weapons. So the detachment of Roman soldiers and their captain, together with the Temple Guard of the Judeans, arrested Yeshua, tied Him up, and took Him to Anan/Annas first, for he was the father-in-law of Kayafa/Caiaphas who was the high priest that year. It was Kayafa who had advised the Judeans that it would be good for one man to die on behalf of the people. Shim`on Kefa/Peter and another disciple were following Yeshua. And that disciple was known to the high priest, and he went with Yeshua into the courtyard of the high priest. Kefa/Peter stood outside by the gate. So the other disciple, the one known to the high priest, went back out and spoke to the woman on duty at the gate, then brought Kefa/Peter inside. So Anan/Annas sent Him, still tied up, to Kayafa/Caiaphas the cohen hagadol/High Priest. So again Kefa/Peter then denied again, and instantly a rooster crowed.

On the tenth day of the month of  Aviv – Yeshua was chosen as a lamb for Pesach

Speak to all the congregation of Israel, saying: “On the tenth day of this month every man shall take for himself a lamb, according to the house of his father, a lamb for a household.

Rejoice with all your heart, daughter of Tziyon! Shout out loud, daughter of Yerushalayim! Look! Your king is coming to you. He is righteous, and he is victorious. Yet he is humble – he’s riding on a donkey, yes, on a lowly donkey’s colt.

Six days before Pesach, Yeshua came to Beit-Anyah (Bethany), where El’azar (Lazarus) lived, the man Yeshua had raised from the dead; so they gave a dinner there in his honor. Marta served the meal, and El’azar was among those at the table with him.

The next day (after this dinner), the large crowd that had come for the festival heard that Yeshua was on his way into Yerushalayim. They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, “Deliver us!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of  YHWH, the King of Isra’el!”

THE FOLLOWING EVENTS HAPPENED AT THE EXACT SAME TIME

The day when YHWH Elohim said to Abraham to sacrifice Isaac

And it came to pass in the seventh week, in the first year thereof, in the first month in this jubilee, on the twelfth of this month, there were voices in heaven regarding Abraham, that he was faithful in all that He told him, and that he loved YHWH, and that in every affliction he was faithful. And the prince Mastêmâ  came and said before YHWH, “Behold, Abraham loveth Isaac his son, and he delighteth in him above all things else; bid him offer him as a burnt-offering on the altar, and Thou wilt see if he will do this command, and Thou wilt know if he is faithful in everything wherein Thou dost try him” […] And YHWH said to him, “Abraham, Abraham”; and he said, “Behold, (here) am I.” And he said, “Take thy beloved son whom thou lovest, (even) Isaac, and go unto the high country, and offer him on one of the mountains which I will point out unto thee.” And he rose early in the morning and saddled his ass, and took his two young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood of the burnt offering, and he went to the place on the third day, and he saw the place afar off […]

The time of Esther’s three day fast for the nation of Israel

Then were the king’s scribes called in the first month, on the thirteenth day thereof, and there was written, according to all that Haman commanded, unto the king’s satraps, and to the governors that were over every province, and to the princes of every people; to every province according to the writing thereof, and to every people after their language; in the name of king Ahasuerus was it written, and it was sealed with the king’s ring. And letters were sent by posts into all the king’s provinces, to destroy, to slay, and to cause to perish, all Jews, both young and old, little children and women, in one day, even upon the thirteenth day of the twelfth month, which is the month Adar, and to take the spoil of them for a prey. […] The posts went forth in haste by the king’s commandment, and the decree was given out in Shushan the castle; and the king and Haman sat down to drink; but the city of Shushan was perplexed.

Now when Mordecai knew all that was done, Mordecai rent his clothes, and put on sackcloth with ashes, and went out into the midst of the city, and cried with a loud and a bitter cry; and he came even before the king’s gate; for none might enter within the king’s gate clothed with sackcloth. And in every province, whithersoever the king’s commandment and his decree came, there was great mourning among the Jews, and fasting, and weeping, and wailing; and many lay in sackcloth and ashes […]

Then Esther bade them return answer unto Mordecai: “Go, gather together all the Hebrews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day; I also and my maidens will fast in like manner; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law; and if I perish, I perish.’ So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.”
